8th EAPC Sports Cardiology Course

Professor of Cardiology and Senior Consultant, Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, University of Barcelona, Spain.
Past-President of the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA) and past Vice President of the Spanish Society of Cardiology.
He is recipient, among others, of the Fritz–Acker Prize to Scientific Research of the German Society of Cardiology, the Josep Trueta Award of the Academy for Medical Sciences of the Catalan Society of Medicine, the Rey Jaime I award in Clinical Medicine, the Codina Altés price of the Catalan Society of Cardiology, for the discovery and description, along with his brothers, of the “Brugada syndrome”. 
His contribution to the medical community is extensive, including more than 600 publications on cardiac arrhythmias and 300 international lectures.
